Program details:
Cuc Phuong - the oldest national park in Viet Nam
We will pick you up at 8:00 at your hotel in Ha Noi for departure to Cuc Phuong National Park, Southwest of Ha Noi. It takes approximately 2.5 hours (110 km) to get to Cuc Phuong National Park (officially opened in 1960 as the first national park in Viet Nam).
We will first visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding and conservation of endangered primates as well as protection of their habitats.
After lunch, we will continue further into the Park Center. On the way, we will visit the Cave of Early Man, an amazing historic find, dating back over 7000 years. Next we will take a long trek through the forest to learn about the diverse plant and wildlife of the park. We will also make stops at Cho Chi - the oldest tree in the forest and visit the picturesque streams and waterfalls along the way. Finally, we will head back to the Park Center and return to Ha Noi.
What to bring: Boots/sport shoes, headlights, camera, hat and insect repellent.
